Start with what you can do.

Understand the choices.

Keep control of your training.

Not just a library. A plan.

Your starting point belongs in the plan.

Capably’s current development version brings planning, session choices, and workout records into one place. Here is how the workflow fits together.

  1. 01 / Your starting point

    Tell it what matters.

Set your training goals, select your equipment, and answer questions about your conditions and current abilities. A diagnosis is part of the picture—not the whole picture.

  2. 02 / Your plan

See the plan and the reasoning.

Programmed rules screen movements against the information you provide. Read explanations for cautions and restrictions, including when the app needs information it does not have.

  3. 03 / Your choices

    Adjust, record, and look back.

Preview a session, make changes within the available options, and log what was actually done. Create an exercise report to review yourself or share with someone you choose.

Built for the practical details

A plan you can work with.
Not work around.

The development version includes choices for the things that can change from one session to the next.

These are software features, not a promise that every exercise or training choice is appropriate for every person.

See what fits the time you have.
Session preview

Compare the estimated time for the full planned workout with the estimate after today’s choices. Review changes before starting, rather than discovering them partway through.

Times are estimates—not a deadline. Your setup, movement pace, and rest needs may differ.

Decide about floor work and equipment.
Today’s setup

Keep floor work grouped or leave it out for the session. Mark equipment unavailable today and say what support is available. Preview the resulting session and any movements left out.

These choices do not turn an unavailable movement into an available one.

Keep warm-ups and timers in your control.
Your pace

Choose whether to include the guided warm-up before you begin. During it, skip an item or the remaining warm-up. Timed movements use an explicit start control.

You can also swap or leave out movements within the options available for your workout.

Keep a record you can actually share.
Workout history & reports

Review recorded workouts and create a report for a month or a custom date range. Preview the contents, then create a readable report or spreadsheet file.

You decide whether to share the file with your doctor, trainer, or anyone else. There is no connected care-team service.

Explanations, not just instructions

“Why?” is a reasonable question.

A flag should come with a reason. Capably distinguishes rules drawn from published guidance from decisions that are its own product policies, so those are not presented as the same thing.

An app’s screening result is not personal medical clearance. Independent clinical review and release-readiness work are still ahead. Read our current status.

The reason behind Capably

Built from a need.
Not an assumption.

I’m Jon, Capably’s founder. My own experience with lumbar fusion and arthritis made the gap personal: wanting to train, but having to work out for myself how a generic plan could fit.

I’m building Capably to make the reasoning clearer and the practical choices easier to see—without pretending an app knows everything about a person.

Where we are today

Pre-launch. No public workout access yet.

Clinical review and exercise-use readiness checks have not been completed. Current software testing uses fictional profiles and involves no exercise. We will explain the supported scope before inviting people to use Capably for workouts.

Capably is being developed as a fitness-planning tool, not a substitute for medical advice or care.

A few useful answers

Before you join.

A clear picture of the product and what the early-access list means.

Can I use Capably for workouts now?

Not yet. Capably is pre-launch, and the current development version is for software-only, no-exercise testing. Joining the list gets you updates; it does not open workout access or enroll you in testing.

Who is it being built for?

Adults with physical disabilities and chronic conditions who want strength-and-conditioning plans that take their abilities and equipment into account. The first exercise-use release will not necessarily support every condition or situation. Its scope will depend on review and readiness findings.

Do I need a gym or special equipment?

The development version lets you select the equipment you have, including bodyweight options. The movements available still depend on your profile and the supported scope. A particular gym setup is not assumed.

Does Capably replace a clinician?

No. It is not a diagnosis, treatment, medical-clearance, or clinician-monitoring service. Reports are files you create and choose to share yourself—not automatic messages to a healthcare professional.

Where do workout records and signup details go?

The current development app keeps profile and workout records in your browser on your device. Clearing browser data can remove them. You control report exports and should handle those files carefully.

Joining the website’s email list is separate: your signup is sent to Capably’s mailing-list provider. It does not include your workout records. See the Privacy Notice.

What will it cost?

Pricing has not been announced. Joining the early-access email list is free and does not create a paid account or commit you to a subscription.
